Of course nowadays they have cute menus like painting the inner part of a plate with chalkboard paint or putting vinyl letters on something. Some day when we have more counter space, I think that I'll make it a project to get a plate and paint chalkboard paint on it, but in the mean time we finally have a place to write down our planned meals for the week.
