Labor Day

Mason had pretty good hours on Labor Day and got off in the evening. We headed off to his uncle and aunt's house for a BBQ. We enjoyed spending time with family. Ava met her cousin Ezra for the first time (Dusty and Jerica's boy, still haven't done a post about that). Ava was tired from keeping us up the night before and so she wasn't too happy until we took her inside and let her crawl around. Mason and I sat apart from each other and threw a gum package back and forth. We let Ava crawl back and forth until she almost would get it. After a few times she got mad that we were teasing her to get something that we actually wouldn't let her get.

Ava liked Mason's younger cousins. Ava likes to say hello by grabbing at faces, so two of Mason's little cousins lined up and let Ava touch their faces. 

When we were almost home, we got a call from my brother saying that he was still doing his friend BBQ and that we should stop by for a few minutes. So we did. When we were saying goodbye, Brad and Kim were playing with Ava a bit and making her laugh. I joked that with Brad that he could take Ava and play with her all night and pretended to hand Ava off. Ava then said "ohh noo." Haha! 

Ava actually slept all night and past my alarm. It was great!

This Labor Day was great in that we scored some potato salad from Mason's Aunt and Uncle's and then we made off with some soda from Brad and Kim's. Win! Win!
